Each generation of Dukes of Atholl continued planting a large numbers of trees and built other structures. Ossian's Hall, originally known as the Hermitage, was first built as a romantic folly in 1758. This current structure replaces the original and was built in 1951. The inside is decorated in striking red with mirrored panels which seems a bit out of place here.
